Get Your Greens Smoothie
This smoothie is a great way to start your day with a healthy dose of green vegetables!
If your palate needs some time to work your way up to more greens in a glass, you can begin with adding some more fruit or fruit juice – pineapple is great here, or a frozen banana for more sweetness. If you like it more thick and creamy, add an avocado to add more nutritious and satiating monounsaturated fats.
- 1 cup leafy greens (chard, kale, spinach)
- 1/2 cup chopped cucumber
- 1 apple
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 inch ginger
- lime, juiced
- ice cubes as desired
- Add the water, lime juice and ginger to blender
- Blend on high.
- Then add apple.
- Blend again until smooth and creamy.
- The add greens and blend until combined.
