You may consider a cleanse this fall!
Why? Autumn is the ideal season for our bodies to open the EMUNCTORIES (the organs of elimination) and release accumulated toxins.
Many typically think cleansing is all about taking liver supportive herbs (dandelion, milk thistle) and nutrients in the form of supplements and vitamins (B vitamins), anti-oxidants (like glutathione) and various amino acids etc.)
While herbs and supplements are certainly useful for accomplishing detoxification goals, I have observed that one of the biggest benefits of people doing a “cleanse” or “detox” is the clean diet that accompanies it.
How to get the most out of the cleansing season?
LONG-TERM SUSTAINABLE RESULTS beyond the 7-14 days of being angelic.
Supporting our bodies with a cleansing foods dietis the most effective strategy for producing long-term positive results and sustainable weight management and energy improvement. It is the solid foundation.
I am offering a 3 hour workshop that will cover how to bring this to your day to day meal choices- while on a cleanse and beyond .
In the food as medicine section we will cover the following:
o The principles of the anti-inflammatory diet
o Delicious, nutritious ingredients and recipes. This will expand your horizons to illustrate how eating clean is not about deprivation—but gaining more options and culinary expertise- a broader spectrum of tasty choices in perhaps uncharted wholefoods territory
o Experience this hands on/taste-bud feast: we will prepare an enticing gluten-free dairy free dinner with recipes and take home tips for preparing and cooking with many fabulous staple ingredients for eating clean and anti-inflammatory.
In the healthy living techniques segment
we will explore the nourishing (yet not food -related) at- home-how-tos for supporting all the organs of elimination from radiant skin to efficiently water-balancing kidneys and all points in between.
